Call for Cairnlea witnesses

Brimbank Crime Investigation Unit detectives are appealing for witnesses following an assault outside a Cairnlea shopping centre on December 3. The incident occurred in the carpark of the Furlong Road shopping centre about 6.45pm. A 28-year-old Taylors Lakes man was taken to hospital with serious, non-life threatening head injuries. Flood risks warning

Boaties and paddlers have been warned to stay out of waterways that flooded at the weekend because of the danger of debris, submerged hazards and changed water levels. Widespread flooding occurred across north-east Victoria. Maritime Safety Victoria has issued a warning about the risks associated with activities on flooded waterways.
