Business is good in Brimbank, with two local enterprises bringing home top honours last month.
Taylors Lakes Hotel won the 2015 International Quality Hotel of the Year award in Las Vegas, competing against hundreds of Choice-affiliated hotels worldwide.
The hotel shared first place with Brazilian Hotel Curitiba. Last year the Taylors Lakes Hotel won the Australasian hotel of the year award.
Taylors Lakes Hotel general manager Eric Visscher credited his staff with the wins.
“Our hard working staff thrive on providing exceptional service … we are so honoured to receive this international award,” he said.
Bridesmaids Dressing Room at Cairnlea won the 2015 bridesmaid gown category at the 17th Victorian Bridal Industry awards on May 5.
This is the second consecutive year Bridesmaids Dressing Room has won this category, gaining an overall score of 99.27 per cent.
“Being judged by our customers is the best feedback we could possibly receive,” designer Aneta Pazeski said.
