Early detection starts now
Early detection is vital for the treatment of bowel cancer, with 90 per cent of cases curable if found early. Altona and Altona City Rotary are teaming up to make the Bowelscan program easily available. $10 kits are available at the Sunshine Plaza Pharmacy.

Residents are invited to attend the Victoria University St Albans health and wellbeing clinic for dermal, nutritional and osteopathic services by senior students under the supervision of a qualified clinician. Community West Neighbourhood House is open on Tuesdays to Thursdays each week from 9.30am-4.30pm and offers a range of free courses, events and activities for all ages, including walking groups, rhythm and rhyme play group, conversational English and budget basics.
