Get into the Easter spirit
Hop to Caroline Springs’ Lake Caroline foreshore, next to the playground, on Saturday, April 4, from 10.30am for In Church Melbourne’s Easter Family Fun Day. Enjoy a jumping castle, face painting, a colouring-in competition, Easter egg giveaways, games, music, sausage sizzle, popcorn and fairy floss. Entry is free.
Walk for a cause
Support kids’ health at Sunshine Hospital by taking part in Walk West on Sunday, March 29. Walk or run a five-kilometre or 10-kilometre course around Doug Mills Reserve, Footscray Park. Entry is free.
Join the band
The Western Region Concert Band rehearses on Saturdays from 9am at Errington Community Centre, Princess Street, St Albans. There are vacancies for percussion, brass and sax players. Bring your instrument and enjoy playing with us.

Movies in the park
Pack a picnic, bring a rug and enjoy a free movie under the stars. Earth to Echo will be screened at RT Pollard Gardens, corner Hampshire Road and Corio Street, Sunshine, on Saturday, March 28. Pre-show entertainment 6pm.
Storytime
For storytime with a difference, kids of all ages can enjoy a story and fun activities in Brimbank’s parks. The next storytime will be held on Wednesday, March 25, at Lagoon Reserve in Keilor.
Volunteers needed
The Multiple Sclerosis Community Visitors Scheme is seeking volunteers to join its program in the western metropolitan area. Volunteers are required to visit elderly residents in aged-care facilities to offer companionship. Volunteers who can speak other languages are welcome.
