Remains found on the Mornington Peninsula could belong to two divers who disappeared in waters there last weekend, police believe.
The divers have not been seen since getting into trouble while diving for shellfish near rocks at Fingal Beach, near Cape Schanck, early on Saturday March 7.
A Victoria Police spokesman said suspected human remains were found in the area on Saturday morning.
This follows an official search party finding a small piece of wetsuit and other suspected human remains on Tuesday.
All remains had been taken to the Coroners Court for identification, the spokesman said.
The missing divers were a 42-year-old man from St Albans and 34-year-old man from Vermont South.
A third diver, a 50-year-old Keysborough man, was able to make it to shore and raise the alarm.
