Learn how to cook dishes from a variety of cuisines using local, seasonal produce. The free class will be held on Saturday, March 21, at West Sunshine Community Centre, 25 Kermeen Street, Sunshine West, 11am-2pm. A light lunch is included.

Movies in the park

Pack a picnic, bring a rug and enjoy a free movie under the stars. Mai Pasifika will be screened at RT Pollard Gardens, corner Hampshire Road and Corio Street, Sunshine, on Saturday, March 14. Pre-show entertainment from 6pm.

Southern Fiesta

Southern Cross Grammar will host the Southern Fiesta festival on Sunday, March 22, from 11am-4pm. There will be carnival rides, stalls, food vans, a toy and book trash and treasure market, face-painting and a petting zoo.

DIY with Barry DuBois

Are you a parent aged 16-25 wanting to meet other young parents in your area and share in fun children’s activities? Free groups meet in Laverton on Mondays from 10-11.30am, Altona Meadows on Mondays from 1-2.30pm, and Sunshine on Fridays from 12.30-2.30pm.

Mobile print service

The new mobile print service at Brimbank libraries allows customers to print documents from any mobile device. Android, iPhone, laptop and tablet users can upload documents at any library printer.

Storytime in the park

Kids of all ages can enjoy stories and fun in Brimbank’s parks. The next storytime will be on Wednesday, March 25, at Lagoon Reserve in Keilor. Make sure you bring

Volunteers needed

The Multiple Sclerosis Community Visitors Scheme seeks volunteers to join its program. Volunteers are required to visit elderly residents in aged-care facilities. Volunteers who can speak other languages, especially Spanish, are especially needed.
