Get in the groove

It’s time to put on your dancing shoes … the Streat Vibes Music Festival is coming back to Watergardens Town Centre. The free two-day event kicks off at 10am, Saturday, February 28 and will include performances by Ricki Lee, Justice Crew (pictured), Samantha Jade, Nathanial, Reigan Derry and a host of local artists.

Storytime in the park

For storytime with a difference, kids of all ages can come along and enjoy a story and fun activity in one of Brimbank’s parks.
The next storytime is on Wednesday, February 25, from 10.30am at Lagoon Reserve in Keilor. Bring along a rug, hat, sunscreen and morning snack.

Movies in the park

Pack a picnic, bring a rug and enjoy a
free movie under the stars. The Lego Movie will be screened at RT Pollard Gardens, corner Hampshire Road and Corio Street, Sunshine on Saturday, February 28. Pre-show entertainment starts at 6pm.

Clean up Brimbank

For pho fans

Tickets have gone on sale for Brimbank’s Sunshine Pho Fever 2015 to be held across three nights – March 1-3, from 6.30-9pm – as part of the Melbourne Food and Wine Festival. Pho Fever will be at Bobaa Tea, 233 Hampshire Road, Sunshine. Tickets are $45.

Table tennis AGM

The Sunshine and District Table Tennis Association will host its AGM on Monday, March 2, from 7pm at West Sunshine Community Centre, 25 Kermeen Street.

Brimbank council is encouraging residents to get to know their neighbours in the lead-up to Neighbour Day on March 29. The council is offering grants of up to $250 for community events.
