A man was taken to hospital after a two-hour stand-off with police in Sunshine West on Monday night.
Police were called to a Warmington Road about midnight after reports of a family violence incident, 3AW reported.
The man, aged in his 40s, locked himself inside the house and members the Critical Incident Response Team were called in.
He was arrested about 2am.
An Ambulance Victoria spokesman said he was taken to the Royal Melbourne Hospital with minor injuries,
Police said they would not release any details about the siege because it was a domestic incident.
