Police have released CCTV footage as part of their investigation into two armed robberies in Brimbank.
The most recent offence was on Friday, October 10, when a man entered a fast food outlet on Elgar Road in Derrimut just before 8.30am and ordered a meal.
When it came time to pay, he produced a knife and demanded cash. He then grabbed some cash out of the open register and fled.
No one was injured during the incident.
The man is described as Caucasian, 183 centimetres tall and of solid build. He was wearing a black jacket, black tracksuit pants, a black cap and sunglasses.
Police are also investigating an armed robbery at a licensed club on Talmage Street, Albion, on March 19.
Two men wearing balaclavas, one holding a firearm, confronted a female staff member just before 9.30pm in the front carpark after she had locked up for the night.
One of the men told the staff member to open the front door but ended up snatching the keys from her and opening the door himself.
Once inside, a second firearm was produced and the staff member was forced to open the safe. The offenders took most of the cash.
The female then had her hands bound with tape behind her back and her mouth covered with tape. She was ordered to count to 10 while the men left through the front door.
The staff member, who was not injured, freed herself and called police.
Embona Taskforce and Armed Crime Taskforce detectives are investigating both armed robberies.
