Sunshine: Art of steel at bus interchange reflects life

A new public artwork was unveiled in Sunshine last week.

Reflexio Qualis, which is Latin for ‘reflective nature’, includes three polished stainless steel installations that are designed to reflect Sunshine’s diverse community.

The $129,090 installation is at the Sunshine bus interchange and is the work of sculptor and teacher Col Henry.

Mr Henry worked with schools and businesses to develop symbols that were etched into small stainless steel panels that were then attached to the installations.

The work is part of Brimbank council’s public art strategy, which has led to artworks being installed across St Albans, Derrimut and Sunshine.
