The thrills and delights of this year’s Djerriwarrh Festival lured thousands of people to Melton Recreation Reserve on Saturday. The festivities started with a street parade and ended with an epic fireworks finale at 10pm. Rides and pets were a hit with the kids, while the adults enjoyed an array of food and wine stalls, custom car and truck shows and live music performances. Melton mayor Sophie Ramsey said the festival was a highlight of the year for many residents and this year’s celebrations were no exception. This year’s theme was “spring time, fun time”.
