Caroline Springs: Brookside Twilight Market back again

As the sun goes down, Brookside Twilight Market will come to life this Friday, with more than 100 indoor and outdoor stalls doing business.

In the past three years, the market has attracted crowds of more than 3000 people to Caroline Springs, and organisers hope for an even bigger turnout this year at Brookside P-9 College.

“We recommend everyone bring their Christmas wishlists,” market organising committee member Nicole Buck said.

“The goal is to raise money for a new playground for the students at Brookside College.”

The festivities begin at 5pm, with a colourful array of entertainment including showbags, crazy-hair arranging, face painting, jumping castles and lucky dips.

A Caring Friends of Cystic Fibrosis (CF) stall will donate its funds to CF patients at the Royal Children’s Hospital, and MW Doggie Delights will give profits from the sale of home-made gourmet dog biscuits to Pets Haven, which rescues dogs and cats on death row and places them in loving homes.

There’ll be a lolly shop, juice bar, ice-cream van and sausage sizzle, and two stages will host singing and dancing performances by Brookside pre-school youngsters and college students.
