Brimbank residents and organisations are being invited to attend a Brimbank Community Governance Showcase on Monday, October 27, at the Sunshine Convention Centre. The event will celebrate the success of local community groups in achieving good governance. The showcase will start at 6pm and supper will be provided. Two face car theft charges

A 26-year-old Caroline Springs man was arrested on October 6 after a police pursuit and the theft of two cars. He was remanded in custody to appear at Sunshine Magistrates Court on November 3. The same day, a 23-year-old from Tarneit was arrested in Sunshine after allegedly stealing two cars. He was remanded in custody, to appear at Sunshine Magistrates Court on October 22.

Caring for the soul

A forum aimed at exploring the need to respect the religious values of people in care will be held on Wednesday, October 22, at Sunshine Hospital’s auditorium in St Albans. “Caring for the Soul: Buddhist and Catholic Perspectives” will feature Buddhist and Catholic speakers.
