Modan, Lily and Isabella are among 20 pupils from Keilor Heights Primary School who will be performing in a massed choir this Saturday at one of Australia’s largest performing arts events – the Victorian State School Spectacular.
The mass choir certainly lives up to its name with a cast of 1150, who provide backing and feature in 16 songs including the Eurythmics’ Sweet Dreams (Are Made Of This).
The Keilor Heights school’s performing arts teacher, Lisa Peirce, said the students had been rehearsing twice a week as well as working on dance moves and difficult harmonies in their own time.
“This is our third year involved and we believe it’s an amazing opportunity for the students to perform in a full-scale professional arena performance,” she said.
