Sunshine Community Theatre: Unbridled wedding bliss

The latest production by Sunshine Community Theatre is almost entirely staged in a toilet.

Set in the rest rooms of a suburban reception centre, Shh…Don’t Tell the Bride follows the bizarre sequence of events that transpire as guests frequent the toilets.

Written by Paul Rourke and directed by David Prince and Robert Wightwick, the play features 12 western suburbs actors in what’s described as an “Aussie git’’ comedy.

“I’ve been to some strange weddings in my time, but I can guarantee that most people haven’t been to a wedding like this before,” Prince said.

The play is at Dempster Park Hall, Sunshine, from September 5-20. Tickets can be bought via SCT’s Facebook page.
