HANGING ROCK: Rolling Stones get Aussie support

Hanging Rock residents and thousands of the Rolling Stones devotees from far and wide are in for an extra big helping of rock feast.

The ageless British band will have support acts including Sydney and Melbourne bands The Preatures and British India during the Stones’ Hanging Rock gig on Saturday,  November 8.

The two bands will take the stage before the Stones wield their magic.

The rock band, which was to perform at the Hanging Rock on March 30, postponed the Australian tour after Mick Jagger’s girlfriend, celebrity fashion designer L’Wren Scott, took her own life in New York.

The Stones will treat generations of fans to classic hits including Gimme Shelter, Paint It Black, Jumping Jack Flash and Tumbling Dice, and It’s Only Rock and Roll expected on the playlist.

The Rolling Stones 14 On Fire tour kicks off on October 25 in Adelaide.
