Author Morris Gleitzman gave Springside P-9 College students in Caroline Springs a glimpse into the mind of a writer during a visit last week. Gleitzman, whose books include Two Weeks With the Queen and Pizza Cake, spoke to students in years 3 to 8 about how he gets his story ideas, the books’ illustrations and writer’s block. Gleitzman also signed copies of his books. “He was unbelievably generous with his time,” Springside primary literary coach Adam Bright said. “He wouldn’t leave until he’d signed everyone’s book and written a personal message for them.” … Charlene Macaulay
