These two mums make work-life balance look easy. Joanne Kosylo and Kim Shaw have been nominated for the 2014 AusMumpreneur awards, which celebrate mums in business. Ms Shaw runs online business Fairylicious and Goblin Grunge from her Keilor Downs home. She set it up about two years ago after having her youngest daughter. The business sells fairy gardens and gifts and is now the largest online retailer of fairy gardens in Australia. “With three kids, the easiest way was to work from home,” Ms Shaw says. Ms Kosylo, of Taylors Lakes, started Support for Mums two years ago to help families through a “circumstantial crisis”, such as “mum having a premature baby, dad breaking his leg”. The mother of two helps about 100 families across Victoria per year with support such as cleaning and meals, and wants to see Support for Mums go national. Charlene Macaulay
