Cairnlea’s Grace Murray entered her father Tim into YMCA Victoria’s Community Father of the Year competition because he plays Barbies with her. The five-year-old alternates between Barbie, Kelly and other female figures, while dad fills his role as Ken.
“We constantly change shoes and outfits, and apparently that makes me pretty awesome,” Mr Murray said. Nominations for the competition close on August 22, so if you’re under 12 and know a male figure, be it your dad, brother, uncle or sports coach, who deserves a pat on the back, send in a written or pictorial nomination. The winner will be announced in the first week of September. … Lexi Cottee
