Kings Park Primary School pupils welcomed visitors from their Japanese sister school last week.
Ten pupils and four teachers from the Tenmacho Elementary School have joined regular classes at Kings Park, learning about Australian animals and tending to the school’s fruit and vegetable garden since arriving last Friday.
They return home this week. “They are experiencing what school life is like in Australia,” teacher Mikiko Shimazu said.
She said the schools had been sister schools for more than a decade.
