Anyone who has seen Skye is urged to call triple-0 immediately.

Fifth man charged over death

A fifth man has been charged with the murder of Deer Park man Michael Sleiman in an alleged gang attack on Australia Day. Bekim Muhtari, 29, of Hillside, faced an out-of-sessions court last Tuesday charged with murder following pre-dawn police raids on Rebels bikie gang properties across Melbourne. Others questioned over Mr Sleiman’s death were freed pending further inquiries.

Library shuts for a week

The library in Deer Park will be closed from Saturday, August 23, to Sunday, August 31 for improvements, including new airconditioning and an automatic door to the children’s play area. Customers will be able to return books through the after-hours chute and access other services at any of the council’s other libraries at Sunshine, St Albans, Sydenham and Keilor Village. Items can also be renewed and reserved online at www.brimbanklibraries.vic.gov.au.
The library reopens on Monday, September 1.
