FOODIE HEAVEN IN KEILOR

Great food, beverages and company are what patrons can expect at the Keilor Hotel’s inaugural food and wine event.

The August 10 celebration will showcase a diverse range of award-winning wines and the finest produce from local suppliers.

Throughout the day, guests will have the opportunity to sample award-winning wines from wineries including Penfolds, Wolf Blass, Baileys of Glenrowan, T’Gallant, Seppelts, Coldstream Hills, Squealing Pig and Wynn’s Coonawarra Estate.

An exquisite range of handcrafted artisan products, including baked goods, sweet treats and other delicacies, will be offered to complement the wines.

Representatives from Kooinda Brewery, Nardini grappa and Pepperjack wines and ales will offer samples of their finest products.

The event, which will start at 11am and finish at 4pm, will be hosted in a heated and sheltered marquee area.

There will also be children’s entertainment, including a jumping castle and face-painting, available throughout the afternoon.

Great prizes will include big discounts on selected wines.

In the VIP area, guests will be able to sample vintage wines and ports dating back to the 1970s and 1980s including Jimmy Watson Memorial Trophy winners.

Standard entry costs $25 while VIP access costs $50. Tickets are available online.
