Cameron Zammit may be only 13 years old but already he holds a state car racing title and will be one of more than 100 drivers lining up for the Keilor Cup on August 10.
The cup, run by the Keilor Offroad RC Car Club at its track in Stadium Drive, is part of a five-part driver series run across Victoria each year for 1/10th-scale electric cars.
The vehicles, capable of reaching 80km/h in the dirt, are no toys, starting at $500 ready to run and up to $4000 for fully optioned factory team cars with almost as many settings as a formula one car.
