A body was discovered after a house fire in Cranbuorne on Wednesday afternoon.
Emergency services received reports of smoke billowing from a Haydon Court residence in Cranbourne shortly after 12.30pm.
Five CFA trucks were sent to the scene and firefighters worked for about 40 minutes to extinguish the fire. The body was subsequently found at the residence.The body is yet to be identified.
Arson and Explosives Squad detectives are attending the scene and will prepare a report for the Coroner.
The death is not believed to be suspicious.
