UPDATE: A man has been charged with murder over the death of a woman at home in Narre Warren South.
The 48-year-old man from Cranbourne was expected to appear in the Melbourne Magistrates Court on Monday afternoon.
The woman was found with upper-body injuries inside a Narren Warren South home at about 10.30pm on Sunday.
Paramedics worked to revive the woman for half an hour, but she died at the scene.
On Monday, Homicide Squad detectives were scouring a property on Harold Keys Drive and questioning a man in his 40s.
Neighbours have reportedly told of hearing regular fighting coming from the house.
