A mentoring project in Sunshine is turning graffiti enthusiasts away from tagging and towards street art in an effort to help clean up the area.
The B-Creative Urban Art Aerosol Project matches young Sunshine residents with mentors to create public murals across Sunshine’s central business district.
The group last week unveiled its latest street mural (left) in an alleyway between Village cinemas and the Sunshine library.
The Brimbank Youth Services project has been running for two years and recently received nearly $20,000 from the state government through graffiti prevention and removal grants.
