Collingwood star Ben Reid’s run of bad luck has continued, with the key defender involved in a spectacular three-car pile-up on the West Gate Bridge on Monday morning.
The Collingwood Football Club quickly confirmed in a statement that Reid was unhurt in the collision, the smash playing havoc with morning peak hour traffic.
“Reid’s car was damaged but he emerged unscathed,” the statement read.
“Reid will return to training tomorrow.”
Twenty-five year old Reid has been readying himself for a return to the Magpies senior side after battling an ongoing calf injury that has plagued him for the year but his efforts were dealt a blow last week when he suffered a quadriceps injury playing in the senior VFL side on Friday.
Police are yet to determine who was at fault over the morning pile-up.
