Sunshine West company A Gesture Food is looking to buy a van to supply food to struggling families across the north west.
A Gesture works with charity organisation SecondBite to supply other charities with fresh, nutritional food. It also works with employment providers to help jobseekers get back into work.
In the past two years, A Gesture has supplied more than 200,000 kilograms of food – which would fill about 3100 shopping trolleys – to 3000 charities.
Anglicare research reveals about 22,000 Australian households go without food at least one day a week.
