Star Weekly launches titles in west and north | Gallery

More than 100 people attended the official launch of Star Weekly this week, marking a new milestone in community publishing.

Western Bulldogs president Peter Gordon and former Australian cricketer Merv Hughes were guest speakers at the event, held at the Pound Cafe at Whitten Oval.

Six new Star Weekly titles were launched throughout the western and northern suburbs by MMP Star, a joint venture between Metro Media Publishing and Star News Group.

The first editions rolled off the presses and were successfully delivered to more than 320,000 homes this week.

Our editions include:

Brimbank and North West Star Weekly

Wyndham Star Weekly

Hobsons Bay & Maribyrnong Star Weekly

Melton & Moorabool Star Weekly

Sunbury & Macedon Ranges Star Weekly

Northern Star Weekly

General Manager/publisher Colin Moss said the new titles have created the best publications in each market, featuring exceptional, engaging journalism and creating a compelling story for businesses and advertisers to engage their local markets.

“It’s our ambition that your Star Weekly paper will play a major part in the social, political, economic and sporting life of the western and northern suburbs,” Mr Moss said.
