SEYMOUR: Boy, 5, dies in caravan fire

A young boy has died in a caravan firenear Seymour.

The five-year-old’s body was found inside the caravan after firefighters fought the blaze on a property in Hilldene.

Emergency services were called to the Bassett Lane property about 12.20pm on Thursday, arriving to find the caravan fully engulfed in flames.

Four CFA trucks attended the scene and crews brought the fire under control by 12.45pm. 

Detectives from the Arson and Explosives Squad are at the scene investigating.
