Footscray Edgewater has beaten Essendon in the Victorian Premier Cricket grand final at the Junction Oval.
The Bulldogs hit a huge 8-526 declared and bowled out Essendon for 166 on day three of the grand final.
On day two, the Bulldogs’ Shanuka Dissanayaka joined Travis Dean as a century maker with 175 not out.
Essendon was in desparate trouble after day two, losing five wickets late in the day.
Josh Haberfield took 6-58 for the Dogs, while Clint McKay was Essendon’s top scorer with 35.
