A truck has hit a tree and rolled over into the front yard of a house in Hampton, leaving one person dead.
Victoria Police spokeswoman Melissa Seach said emergency services were called to Bluff Road, Hampton, about 5.40am on Wednesday, to find the delivery truck turned over and the yard and fence wrecked.
John Mullen from Ambulance Victoria said the male driver was already dead when paramedics arrived.
Bluff Road in Hampton East will be closed in both directions between South Road and Wickham Road until at least 9am.
Drivers are asked to avoid the road and seek an alternative route.
