A P-plater’s car has flipped and burst into flames in a high-speed collision in Noble Park, sending two teenagers and a young man to hospital.
The two cars collided at an intersection in Noble Park on Wednesday night, with both vehicles spinning out of control and slamming into parked cars, police say.
One of the cars then burst into flames, but two teenagers inside the burning vehicle were able to escape with only minor injuries.
Paramedics treated the two youths for cuts following the 9pm crash and took them to The Alfred hospital in a stable condition, an Ambulance Victoria spokesman said.
Another driver, believed to be in his 20s, was taken to the Dandenong Hospital, also in a stable condition.
Police are investigating the circumstances leading up to the crash, near the intersection of Heatherton Road and Ellendale Road.
At this stage, they don’t believe the cars were racing each other, a police spokeswoman said.
