An alarming drop in breast- screening rates in Brimbank was brought to the attention of more than 100 culturally and linguistically diverse women in St Albans last Thursday.
An International Women’s Day event at Club Italia provided information about screening programs and the importance of regular activity and healthy eating.
BreastScreen Victoria health promotion manager Nikki McGrath said screening participation at the Sunshine BreastScreen clinic had fallen dramatically in recent months and many appointment slots remained unfilled.
