Twenty-six people locked in cars across Brimbank in four months

There have been 26 reports of people locked in cars in Brimbank over the past four months.

The latest data from Ambulance Victoria revealed Caroline Springs, Sunshine and Deer Park were the main hot-spots with four incidents reported each between September 1 last year and January 31.

Of all incidents reported state-wide, 65.7 per cent involved children, however a AV spokesperson said it had only attended and treated a small proportion of these incidents.

The Weekly reported in November parents were being put on notice after AV data revealed it received 47 reports of children being left in locked cars in Brimbank and the north-west in the year to August.

Caroline Springs had the area’s highest number of calls (9), followed by Taylors Lakes (7) and St Albans (6).
