Murrumbeena: Man charged over murders

LATEST: A Murrumbeena man has been charged with the murder of a couple found slain in their home in the suburb.

Police charged Thomas Hemming with two counts of murder over the deaths of Cheryl Adamson, 60, and her husband Robert, 65, who were found dead in their Omama Road home in Murrumbeena on Wednesday afternoon.

Mr Hemming, a Murrumbeena resident, faced an out-of-court session on Friday night.

He was remanded in custody and will face the Melbourne Magistrates’ Court on Monday.

The couple were found after Mrs Adamson, a librarian, failed to attend work.
