Lunar New Year of the Horse welcomed at temple

PICTURE GALLERY: Lunar New Year Braybrook

Tiffany, 6, and Johnny, 4, welcome the Lunar New Year of the Horse at Quang Minh Buddhist Temple’s annual Tet Festival.

Last Thursday’s celebrations included performances, a feast, chants and fireworks.

Rare Buddhist relics, including items donated by the Dalai Lama, will be on display at the Vietnamese temple this weekend.

Residents can cast an eye over the unique exhibition, which has travelled the world, between 10am and 6pm Saturday and Sunday.

The free display, which also includes ancient relics of Buddha’s disciples, has previously been exhibited at the National Gallery of Victoria.
