BORONIA: Charges over crash into police station

A man has been arrested after a car crashed into Boronia police station on Monday night.

The man was allegedly driving a car that hit a second car, causing the second car to crash through a garden bed and into the front supporting beams of the station.

Police said the accident happened about 9.15pm.

The couple in the car that hit the station were treated at the scene for minor injuries. No one in the police station was injured.

Steven Bartlett, 22, of Croydon South, has been charged with multiple offences including two counts of conduct endangering life, two counts of conduct endangering serious injury, intentionally causing injury, criminal damage, driving while suspended, failing to display P-plates and careless driving.

He was remanded and is expected to face Ringwood Magistrates Court on Tuesday.
