CHELSEA: Nippers hit the bay for State Carnival

Hordes of nippers will compete in the third round of the Junior State Carnival at Chelsea Longbeach Surf Life Saving Club on Saturday.

More than 700 nippers have registered to compete in an array of beach and surf events which kick off at 8.30am.

Activities including wading, beach sprints, beach flags, board relays and the aqua cameron relay.

Life Saving Victoria’s aquatic sport coordinator for junior sport, Luke Gavin, encouraged everyone to head to the carnival and support our future lifesavers.

LSV is expecting a big turn out at Port Phillip Bay, from nippers, their families and friends, as bayside clubs from Williamstown to Chelsea Longbeach will compete.
