A host of willowy and genetically blessed women and men gathered at Malvern Town Hall last week to audition for a spot on the catwalk at the coming Virgin Australia Melbourne Fashion Festival.
Every year, hundreds of hopefuls and seasoned professionals practise their poses and walk the walk in the hope of being selected for one of the country’s most prestigious fashion events.
Our roving photographer Scott McNaughton captured the hopefuls as they waited for their turn in the spotlight or strutted their stuff before the powers-that-be.
The festival, which features runway shows, cultural programs and business seminars, runs from March 17-23.
