Grand United took first-innings points against Gellibrand in the Williamstown and Distract Cricket Association A turf.
After making 204, Grand bowled Gellibrand out for 88, thanks to Liam Johnson (4-16) and Luke Fox (4-19).
Chasing an outright, the Gorillas sent Gellibrand in again and looked the goods at 8-104 but Callum Caiger (11) and Cooper Johnstone (8) held firm.
