Sunshine fell two wickets short of victory against Mt Waverley in east/west second XI, with Mt Waverley reaching 8-190 in reply to 187.
A 64-run partnership between captain Darren Singleton (53) and Kyle McClure (24) for the third wicket laid the foundations for the win but four wickets from Ben Bonavia (4-37) gave the Crows a sniff.
Sunshine’s third XI had a comfortable 93-run win against Kew in north/west third XI, bowling Kew out for 130 after posting 223 a week earlier. Kew’s opening pair put on 45 before the Crows took all 10 wickets for 85. Danny Bui finished with the remarkable figures of 4-1 from seven overs.
In fourth XI, Sunshine suffered a massive outright loss against Kew in north/west division.
Down a batsman and chasing 341, the Crows were bowled out for 51 in the first innings and 94 in the second.
