Sunshine is in a good position to snare its second win of the Victorian Sub-District Cricket Association’s east/west First XI season after a solid day against Mt Waverley on Saturday.
The Crows were disciplined with the ball and outstanding in the field, bowling out Mt Waverley for 159. Laka Khan took four wickets.
Sunshine’s reply reached 0-8 by the close and the Crows will continue the chase with 10 wickets in hand this Saturday.
Batsman Troy Stone said the team was having a much-improved season.
“There are a lot of positives and we’re turning the corner,” he said.
“We started off really well against Mt Waverley and to end up 0-8 overnight is a really positive sign so we’ll go in with confidence we can win next week.”
