Deer Park made inroads on Bowls Victoria division 1, section 1 ladder leader Richmond Union with a cruisy 85-69 win over Kew Heights on Saturday.
Both clubs now have six wins from eight matches, but Union has six more points in a finals race that is tightening by the week.
The Parkers face a tough away trip to Elsternwick Club on Saturday.
Sunshine City struck a massive blow in the jostle for top-four positions in division 2, section 1 with a 66-63 win over Werribee.
City is one of the hottest sides in the division with four straight wins.
