Arts and cultural events celebrating local refugee communities will be on show at Brimbank’s Emerge Festival on Sunday, November 10.
The free festival, at Errington Community Centre in St Albans from noon to 5pm, includes a talent quest, delicious food, music, dance, fashion and craft.
Sunshine West’s Ras Jahknow (pictured, centre), who migrated to Australia from Cape Verde six years ago, will perform with his roots and reggae band.
