DANDENONG: Shot man stumbles into hotel

A 25-year-old man stumbled, bleeding, into a hotel after being shot in the leg in Dandenong on Tuesday morning.

He was taken to Dandenong Hospital after telling staff at the Ibis Hotel on the Princes Highway in Dandenong that he’d been shot in a nearby car park about 11am.

Meanwhile, a police car attending the incident collided with a Telstra van, which rolled over after the crash near the intersection of Stud Road and Herbert Street.

The van driver was uninjured and the police car driver and passenger suffered minor injuries.

A Victoria Police spokeswoman said the shooting victim was under police guard in hospital on an unrelated matter and was not co-operating with police.
