Witnesses sought after Sunshine servo robbed

Brimbank Embona Taskforce detectives are appealing for witnesses following an armed robbery at a service station in Sunshine this morning.

Police have been told that a man armed with a knife entered the service station on McIntyre Road around 3.50am in a jovial mood.

“Yeah good mate,” he says to the cashier behind the desk before pulling a knife from inside his trouser leg and demanding cash.

CCTV vision shows the man monentraily covering his face with a tea towel.

“Give us some money, now,” he demands from the cashier.

“Give us some f***ing money now or I’ll otherwise I’ll [*undecipherable*]. Now! All of it! All of it! All of it!”

The bandit fled with a small amount of cash and was last seen driving away in a dark-coloured four-wheel drive.

The offender is described as being 180centimetres.  He has a light-coloured goatee beard and a shaved or bald head.

He was wearing a yellow fluorescent top with an orange fluorescent jumper underneath and black pants.

The victim was not injured in the incident.

Anyone who may have witnessed the armed robbery or with information is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or visit www.crimestoppers.com.au
