Teenagers arrested after Sunshine milk bar robbery

Two teenagers were arrested last night after they allegedly broke into a milk bar in Sunshine.

It’s believed the pair forced entry to the Hampshire Road shop just before 11pm, breaking a window which set off an alarm at the premises.

Police were called and found the alleged offenders a short time later near the intersection of Benjamin Street and Anderson Road.

A 19-year-old man from Sunshine North and a 14-year-old boy from Melton are being interviewed by local police and are expected to be charged with aggravated burglary, theft and criminal damage.

The 19-year-old man will also face a charge of resisting police.

No person was injured during the incident.
