Stolen card used

Police are searching for a man who allegedly used a stolen credit card on March 24 this year to buy cigarettes totalling $500 at service stations in Hoppers Crossing, Truganina, Deer Park and Tarneit. The credit card was allegedly stolen from a vehicle parked inside a garage on Morris Road, Hoppers Crossing, between 8pm on March 23 and 6am on March 24. Police have released images of a man whom they believe may be able to assist with their inquiries. He is described as being aged in his 30s, about 170cm tall and with a medium build and olive skin.

Gambling survey

Wyndham council will conduct a survey about online gambling and gaming machines from September 20 to October 20. The survey can be completed at wyndham.vic.gov.au or contact 9742 0777 to request a postal copy.

Magpies swoop

Wyndham residents are being reminded to remain alert to avoid attacks from magpies. Wyndham environment and sustainability portfolio holder Heather Marcus advised residents to wear a broad-brimmed hat or carry an umbrella to protect their heads and sunglasses to protect their eyes.
