Wordsmiths: The Brimbank Writers and Readers Festival, from September 5-16, encourages a love of writing and literature, celebrates diversity and creativity, and promotes life-long learning. Free events include panel discussions, author talks, interviews, readings, storytelling and workshops. Winners of the Brimbank Writers Awards will be announced at a ceremony on September 16. Have a ball: North Sunshine Eagles are running an indoor soccer league every Wednesday from July 24 to September 25. Games are for children aged 8-14.
